The 乐播传媒 would like to provide families with an update regarding the building exchange between Collège Béliveau (CB) and Windsor Park Collegiate (WPC).
At this time, the Division has not yet received confirmation of provincial funding to support the necessary renovations and additions at both school sites. As a result, the exchange of buildings will not proceed until the required funding is secured and essential renovation work is completed.
While the timeline remains dependent on provincial approval, the rationale for the exchange has not changed. The transition continues to be an important part of our long-term planning to ensure that programming needs, enrolment patterns, and facility requirements at both schools are well supported now and into the future (see graph below). The Speers building has been able to accommodate French Immersion students longer than expected only because more School of Choice (SOC) applications from the Collège Béliveau catchment have been approved for Collège Jeanne-Sauvé. This approach is not sustainable long term.
We understand that uncertainty can be challenging for families and students. Please be assured that both schools will continue to operate as they currently are, and student learning remains our highest priority.
