New Media Design
Program Description
Create interactive digital projects like websites, games, and apps in a hands-on, creative environment. In this program, you’ll learn design, coding, asset creation, and project management using tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Unity. Work on real client projects, build your portfolio, and prepare for careers in web development, game design, digital media production, or further studies in computer science, data science, information technology, or graphic design.

Prerequisites and Beneficial Skills
- High school students have completed Grade 10
 - Post-secondary students have completed Grade 12
 - Basic familiarity of Windows operating system
 - Interest in digital design, coding and technology
 - Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills
 - Creativity and attention to detail
 - Effective communication and collaboration skills
 
Work Practicum
In the Project Management for Interactive Digital Media course, students work in teams to design and develop a website for a real business client over a four-month period. This practicum gives students the opportunity to apply their technical and professional skills in a real-world setting. While most work is completed on-site at ATC, students may occasionally meet with clients at their place of business to gather requirements or present their work.
Certification
LRATC will award certificates to students who successfully complete all eight courses.
